Fmoc-D-Trp(Boc)-CTC Resin
Fmoc-D-Trp(Boc) -2-Chlorotrityl chloride resin
2-Chlorotrityl Chloride (2-CTC) Resin – Mildly Acid-Labile Solid Support
2-Chlorotrityl Chloride (2-CTC) Resin is a polystyrene-based resin functionalized with a 2-chlorotrityl chloride linker, widely used in Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Its mild acid-labile linker allows for gentle cleavage of peptides while preserving side-chain protection, making it ideal for protected peptide intermediates, fragment condensation, and peptide libraries.

Cleavage & Applications
Cleavage Conditions:
Mild cleavage: 1–2% TFA in DCM → releases protected peptide fragments
Strong cleavage: Standard TFA cocktail (TFA/TIS/H₂O) → fully deprotected peptide with C-terminal carboxylic acid
Applications:
Synthesis of fragment peptides for segment condensation
Generation of protected peptide intermediates
Ideal for peptide libraries and combinatorial chemistry
Key Advantages
Mild acid-labile linker preserves sensitive protecting groups
Tunable loading suitable for long or difficult sequences
Excellent swelling for efficient coupling
Widely used for fragment-based and combinatorial SPPS
Storage & Handling
Store at 2–8 °C under dry conditions
Protect from moisture and air
Pre-swell in DMF or DCM before use
